Windsor Tips: Ertikaan
Performing consistently well at a higher grade and there is little strength in depth to the race.
The 2.30 Windsor looks a straightforward pick between the market principles Fathsta and Ertikaan.
Fathsta is a proven performer on soft ground but it seems 7f is his trip nowadays. He would need a searing gallop to be competitive at 6f, and a small field on a sharp track is unlikely to suit him.
Ertikaan hasn’t done much wrong this season and looks likely to capitalise on a drop in grade. He couldn’t handle the well handicapped Gladiatrix on his last start but still ran a good race to finish fourth. Since the hood has been applied he’s not finished outside the top-5 and his consistency can be rewarded with a win at 7/2 (Stan James).
