Windsor Tips: Ashpan Sam
Ran well at Windsor earlier in the season and the handicapper has finally given him some respite.
Ashpan Sam ran creditably earlier in the season at Windsor and if he can recapture that form, he could go well in the 7.00.
John Spearing’s 4-year-old finished 3.5 lengths and 4.5 lengths behind the progressive Nocturn but this evening’s contest looks much easier by comparison.
Ashpan Sam is a very consistent horse, with his Racing Post Ratings this season reading: 80-81-81-83-76-78 but the handicapper has finally given him some respite and dropped him a couple of pounds.
Racing off a mark of 78 he is reasonably well handicapped and with the potential to get an easy lead he could run better than his 14/1 (William Hill) quote.
