Windsor Tip: Secret Witness

There aren’t many unluckier horses in training than Secret Witness and he is due a change of fortune in the 6.40 at Windsor. A runner up ten times last season, including a placed effort in Group company, he is good enough to win this class three contest.

After a quiet start to the season Ron Harris’ gelding has hit form in his last three races. A third place at Haydock was followed by unplaced efforts but both are excusable. At Ascot he race on the wrong side and had no chance despite travelling as well as anything; whilst at Goodwood he was badly hampered when looking dangerous. He could easily have won three times already this season.

As he proved last year when he hits form he tends to hold it for a couple of months. Expect another good run in a race he finished second in last year.
