Windsor Tip: Ivatheengine

Slowly into stride on debut but the further he went the better. Closing sectional was 0.51s quicker than winner, Flippa The Strippa who landed a Listed race on next start.

Infuriatingly Ivatheengine’s hand has been divulged through no fault of his own but it’s still worth highlighting what a good horse he could be.

Last time out he finished half a length behind Flippa The Strippa, who on Thrusday went and won a Listed sprint at Sandown. That is a huge boost to the form but doesn’t tell the whole story. Ivatheengine was slow into stride on debut at Chepstow and looked all at sea in the first half of the race. However, he started to warm to the task and his closing 3f sectional was 0.51s quicker than that of the winner - Flippa The Strippa.

David Evans’s horse was runner-up but the more eye-catching of the pair and his adjusted speed rating of 86 is big for a juvenile on debut. He’s clearly a talented sprinter and should win this race with something to spare.
