Windsor Tip: Blue De Vega
Has run two good races this season and earned an adjusted speed rating at Haydock that is good enough to win a Class 3 handicap. Races off career low mark and plenty of pace around him.
There are plenty of horses in the 5.15 Windsor who could improve from their first outings of the season but they will need to because they’ve not impressed so far. That doesn’t apply to Blue De Vega who has run two nice races and gets to compete off a career low handicap mark.
At Newmarket he finished midfield but didn’t get the clearest of runs and improved at Haydock. Slowly away, he had too much ground to make up on the leaders but was a strong finishing third. He clocked the third fastest closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 80, which is competitive compared to his handicap mark.
Blue De Vega needs a strongly run 5f to be at his best and should get a good tow into the race with Yimou and Konchek both potential pace-setters drawn near him.
