Windsor Tips: Signor Sassi
Finished eighth last time out but not beaten that far and probably needed the run. Drops down in class.
Connections paid 85,000 guineas for Signor Sassi last October and he could be a little bit better than his rivals in the 3.55 Windsor.
He ran a series of good races last year that convinced me to back him at Newbury nine days ago. Although he finished eighth he wasn’t beaten all that far and after a long layoff perhaps he needed the run.
This afternoon he drops down two class levels, a result of the handicapper easing him 3lbs in the weights.
William Knight applies the hood for the first time and a combination of headgear and a recent run could see him return to the winners’ enclosure at 4/1 (William Hill).
