Showed promise as a juvenile and unlucky loser last time out when closed off steady pace with fastest sectional by 0.46s.
City Gent, Montague and Count Otto’s form is all intertwined and although i’d back Count Otto to come out top of that three way battle, he might not have enough to beat The Mums.
The now 3-year-old was described as a ‘sweet filly’ by trainer John Gosden after he win at Newbury and although she lost her way at the back-end of the season she showed up again at Lingfield 28 days ago.
She finished third in a blanket finish, beaten a short-head and a nose and could be counted unlucky. The race was run at a steady gallop and she came from further back than her rivals. Her closing sectional of 22.56s was the fastest in the race by 0.46s and she came out best on adjusted speed ratings.
