Take The Mickey

Steadily run race didn't suit his running style last time out. But wasn't beaten far considering he banged his heads on the stalls. Has been competitive in this grade.

Banging your head on the starting gate is never a good move - hampering your start in a race run at a pedestrian pace is a disaster. That is what happened to Mickey last time out but he was still only beaten 3.75 lengths and dipped under 22s for the final 2f at Wolverhampton.

His hold-up style means Mickey is hard to win with, he is 1/18 with six second places, however there is ability. He finished second over course and distance behind Lancelot Du Lac in March and his track record is 1428.

This is a competitive but open race and Mickey represent the value.
