Southwell: True Hero
Set strong pace over 6f on return from break but couldn't see it out. Looks better suited to the minimum trip and has shown some ability of late which can't be said for most of his rivals.
The 3.15 Southwell is a poor race and True Hero looks very much the best horse in it. He was backed into favouritism on his return from a 113-day break and although that gamble went array the money was not misplaced, it was simply the wrong race.
True Hero looks an out and out speedster and he was never going to last home setting a strong pace over 6f. He should be much more dangerous over the minim trip and although a high draw isn’t ideal, Kevin Stott should bounce him out quick and be able to make a central run down the straight.
