Southwell Tip: Pushkin Museum
First start for John Butler and interesting that he makes it at Southwell a track he ran well at once in 2013 and hasn't visited since. Good career strike rate of 8/56.
Pushkin Museum is having his first start for John Butler and his new trainer could have a bit of fun with this 8-time winner. Latterly his wins have come at Wolverhampton in class 6 handicaps but i’m intrigued by his placement at Southwell.
Go back to 2013 and he finished second behind Oriental Relation in a good time for the grade, earning a Racing Post Rating of 88. Surprisingly he’s never been back since and although it is dangerous to rely on form from six years ago he should handle the Fibresand.
Katheefa is the big danger but Pushkin Museum has much the better strike rate and is in receipt of 8lbs. At the bigger price he is the one to side with.
