Running well without much luck this season. Close ninth in the Stewards' Cup and course and distance record reads 125152.
It’s feels incongruous to have a high quality Fibresand sprint in August but Soutwell have attached plenty of all-weather specialists for their 3.35 contest.
Form on the most unique of the all-weather surfaces is a prerequisite but that shouldn’t be at the exclusion of everything else, the horses need to have shown something of recent value.
Poyle Vinnie arrives with the strongest form after finishing 2.75 lengths behind Gifted Master in the Stewards’ Cup and he is 1lbs lower for that effort. With five second places this season, the 8-year-old deserves a change of fortune and he is well-drawn in the middle to low side of the stalls.
His course and distance record is 125152 with all bar one of those runs coming of a higher mark.
