Moonraker hasn’t shown much in three runs at Wolverhampton but he’s a different horse on the Fibresand so we can overlook his most recent form. His record at Southwell 19131 and all have been achieved in a higher grade.
His moderate performances have served in getting his handicap mark down from 92 to a manageable 85 and he’s well drawn in the thick of the action in stall 8. Mick Appleby has managed four winners in the last fortnight and this course specialist deserves respect.
