Course and distance record is 113 and stall 1 could be a blessing in disguise if he starts slowly and can get out of the kickback.
With a course and distance record of 113, Gnaad could turn out to be something of a Southwell specialist and has a live chance in the 3.30 contest. Last time out he ran over 6f and wasn’t disgraced when beaten 3.25 lengths. It was a similair story over 5f in November but both were class 4 races and he now drops down in grade.
Gnaad has the habit of missing the break but from stall 1, Liam Keniry has the option of taking him out of the kickback. A strike-rate of 4/14 is already impressive and he is one to keep onside.
