Southwell: Lord Oberon
Is 3/3 at track and equally effective over six or seven furlongs. Latest win accompanied by big speed rating, not first time he has impressed on the clock. Well handicapped on best form.
There is lots of winning form on show in the 6.45 Southwell but i’m most down on Requinto Dawn. He has won three of his last four over course and distance and was visually very impressive last time but he was soundly beaten by Zylan two starts back and there is no obvious excuse.
This is a tough class four handicap and off the same weight I like Lord Oberon. Equally effective over 6f or 7f, he made it 3/3 at Southwell last time out. He is only up 3lbs for that win and it was won in a fast time for the grade. He’s done this before, clocking a massive speed rating when winning on 4 April 2018.
Having hit a high of 95, he still looks well handicapped off a mark of 76 and looks an excellent bet.
