Shergar Cup Tips: Tassel
Disadvantaged by the lack of pace in her last two starts. Can be seen to better effect chasing a strong gallop.
Tassel has been undone by the slow pace in her last two races but she should fare better in the 3.50 Ascot, with several prominent runners in the line-up.
Three starts back she finished a close 4th at Goodwood, coming from last to finish only 1.25 lengths behind the winner. Considering she was racing against older horses it was a fair performance.
Connections must rate her quite highly as she’s twice been pitched into Group 3 company and although she’s run the odd clunker there is talent lurking somewhere. At 11/1 (BetVictor) she is a shade overpriced.
