Sandown: Waiting All Night
Might not have beaten much on debut win at Wolverhampton but raced 3-wide throughout (from wide draw) and was still clearly on top at the line. Might be better than people expect.
The a strong chance Waiting All Night beat absolutely nothing last time out at Wolverhampton and might be total outclassed in Listed company. However, the winning time was reasonable and it was an impressive performance given from stall 9 he pretty much raced 3-wide for the entire race.
You have to be half-decent, whatever the level, to cover so much more ground and still win and after the race Richard Spencer spoke of this horse as a Royal Ascot contender. He’ll have to overcome a moderate draw again but he’s overpriced in what looks a more open race than the market would have us believe.
