Sandown Tip: Muthmir
Fifth on seasonal return in the Epsom Dash and showed plenty despite his advancing years. Has finished second and fourth in this race and this his best draw in stall 5.
The lower draw the better at Sandown and the first horse I can give any chance to is Muthmir. He’s finished second and fourth in this race previously and in stall 5, this is the best draw he’s had.
The 9-year-old made his seasonal return in the Epsom Dash and finished a close fifth with a big speed rating to boot. That suggests he’s up to winning a minor Listed or Group contest and this isn’t the strongest renewal of the Coral Charge.
The 3-year-olds are open to improvement but none have particularly wowed me with perhaps the exception of Garrus who is poorly drawn. Muthmir looks the most solid sprinter in the line-up, he likes the track and has ideal underfoot conditions. He should run well.
