Young apprentice has 24% strike rate this season and can make the most of the plum draw.
The 6.00 at Salisbury is an apprentice race where whips cannot be used so I advise more cautious staking. Inexperienced jockeys are more liable to make mistakes but with that in mind there is still an angle to the race.
Stall one at Salisbury is an excellent draw, winning 3.25 times more often than it should. Witchry is the lucky horse and even better he has an excellent jockey on board - Charles Bishop. In 2011 the young jockey has a phenomenal strike rate of 24% and that is from a good sample size of 9 wins from 38 races.
In a race with some very youthful riders Bishop can be the edge especially if making the most of the draw bias.
