Salisbury Tip: Cheers
Lightly raced and looked an unlucky loser in a similar race last week.
With 17 runners lining up for the 6.40 Salisbury it should be run at a strong gallop, with several confirmed front-runners.
Cheers is a two-time winner over 7f, but should be equally effective over a strongly run 6f. She encountered similar conditions at Bath eight days ago. Travelling much the best of the runners her jockey was forced to wait for a gap to appear. When it did, the winner Valmina had already got first run and she wasn’t quite able to make up the lost ground.
This is only her 4th start at 6f and her 11th overall, still lightly raced she could turn out to be much better than the moderate opposition. At 6/1 (Ladbrokes) she rates the best bet.
