Coventry Tip: Shine So Bright
His 33.15s split at Nottingham was the fastest at the track from the last 1182 runners. The way he finished his race suggests he will relish a step-up in trip. Form of race vastly underrated.
Shine So Bright was an inexpensive purchase as a yearling but connections have found themselves a colt of some talent. On debut at Nottingham he stormed home to win by 2.25 lengths but the further he went the better he got, which bodes well for the step up in trip.
Shine So Bright was visually impressive but I really liked what he did on the clock. He covered the final 3f in 33.15s, it was 0.59s quicker than the runner-up and the fastest closing sectional at Nottingham from the last 1182 runners.
Adjusting for pace I gave him a speed rating of 93, a big number on debut and he should improve for the outing and the step-up to 6f. He is a lively outsider.
