Redcar Tips: Truth Or Dare

Redcar Tips: Truth Or Dare

Been racing on unsuitable soft ground but finally got his conditions and a mark of 83 looks generous on his past performances.

Having been rated in the 100s in his peak Truth Or Dare has tumbled down the handicap, so much so that he is racing in the 2.40 Redcar off a mark of 83. Several trainers have had a go at revitalising the horse but it might just be that James Bethall has got him at the right time.

At six years of age he’s still got plenty of racing left in him and the warm weather could make the difference. Truth Or Dare has been forced to race on soft ground on his last three starts but he’s never won on anything other than good to firm, which he gets this weekend.

Last time out at Catterick he was floundering on the loose ground but he wasn’t beaten far and earned a respectable speed rating of 78. Two starts back he was sent off 9/2 favourite in a similar race to today’s but this time the going is in his favour and he is carrying 4lbs less.
