Redcar Tips: Situation
No show on fast ground last time (previously non-runner on similair ground) and underfoot conditions more to his liking today.
Situation flopped when we tipped him 27 days ago but looking back the ground might have been wrong for him. Three times in his career he’s been pulled out when the going was rated ‘good to firm’ but at Musselburgh connections let him take his chance and things didn’t go well.
The two-year-old isn’t one to give up on though because on his penultimate start at Leicester he showed up well for a long way before tiring. His finishing speed of 94.6% was much slower than par btu after adjusting for pace he earned a respectable speed rating of 62.
Better with cut underfoot (he has that today) he can be competitive in class 6 handicaps, especially off a declining mark.
