Pontefract Tip: Pipers Note

Three wins at Beverley suggest he should handle this stiff 5f and his record in class 3 handicaps is an amazing 10 wins from 20 starts.

Pipers Note is viewed as something of a Ripon specialist but I think he’ll also be suited by today’s test. This is the first time he’s run over 5f at Pontefract and a stiff turning five furlongs promises to suit. His record at Beverley is 111239 and although that is a right handed track, it has a bend and an incline.

Pipers Note is also very successful at this level winning 10/20 starts in class 3 handicaps a mark of 93 isn’t insurmountable either, he won of 94 last season. Stall five is perfectly adequate and if the going is no slower than the official description of ‘good’  then he will handle the ground. He shouldn’t be 16/1.
