Newmarket Tip: Diamond Lady
The quicker the ground the better and therefore her performance at Lingfield on good to soft can be upgraded. Course and distance record is 522.
Diamond Lady is more exposed than most in the field for the 5.30 Newmarket but she has conditions in her favour. A four time winner in this grade (from 37 starts), she is at her best when the ground is riding quick, with a record of 112 on going described as ‘firm’.

Her record on the July course is also encouraging. When running over the minimum trip she has finished 522, never beaten by more than 2.25 lengths.
On her season return she ran a good second to Bernardo O’Reilly at Lingfield on ground that was probably slower than ideal. She should improve under more suitable conditions.
