Newmarket Tip: Alternative Fact

Alternative Fact hasn’t hit the heights of his juvenile campaign with nothing better than a fifth place to show from three starts. However, two of those races were Group contests and back in handicaps he can be competitive again.

Last time out he was left with too much to do after an awkward start and although he quickened off an even pace the leaders didn’t come back to him enough. Interestingly he ran the second fastest closing sectional of the race behind Alfarris, who franked the form by winning at Glorious Goodwood.

Alternative Fact has been dropped 1lb for an effort that generated an adjusted speed rating of 94. With Frankie Dettori on-board, he rates the most likely winner.
