Newcastle Tip: Island Of Life
Fell out the stalls at Kempton but made rapid progress in the final 3f. She clocked the fastest closing sectional and earned a whopping pace adjusted speed rating of 91.
Island Of Life was a huge eye-catcher last time out at Kempton. Returning from wind surgery, she fell out of the gates and was in rear of a race run at a moderate gallop. Three furlongs from home she was last but she made up 5.5 lengths on the all-the-way winner by running the fastest closing sectional of the race by 0.35s.
In an above average race for the grade she clocked a sectional adjusted speed rating of 91; plenty good enough to win a class 4 handicap.
The step up in trip is a slight unknown but give she was slightly outpaced over a sharp 5f you can understand the logic. Lightly raced, she is a winner in waiting.
