Previous course and distance winner who has hit the frame on last three starts. Good speed rating last time when racing down the centre of track; high draw and rail run could make difference.
There is lots of recent winning form in the 6.50 Newcastle but those horses carry more weight as a result. Running just as well but without a penalty is Gowanlad. A previous course and distance winner he’s found form of late with three placed efforts.
The most recent came with a sectional adjusted speed rating of 70 and he made his challenge down the centre of the track; this winter he nearside rail has been to place to be. With a high draw in his favour and early money he is ready to win.
