Newbury: Holguin
Speed figure was similair to that of Persian Force and promises to be better over an extra furlong. Chances are he only has to better the two debutants to win this bet.
Persian Force was a visually impressive winner of the Brocklesby but his speed figure was matched by Holguin on debut at Newbury and I don’t think there should be such a large disparity in their prices.
Trainer Andrew Balding suggested that Holguin would be better over 6f and the way he finished the race suggests he is correct. At 5/1 he rates a good bet but i’m being slightly caution and recommend the 11/8 in the w/o Persian Force market given Holguin simply has to better to debutants to win this bet.
