Molecomb Stakes: Steel Bull
Market support on debut wasn't misplaced as he won comfortably. Always travelling strongly, he showed a good change of gear to win in a decent time. Should improve for the experience.
This isn’t the strongest renewal of the Molecomb Stakes and my interest is drawn to those at a bigger price. Night On Earth was much improved for the change in trip and he dominated a fair Windsor sprint, winning in a good time. He is overpriced but the most exciting prospect is Steel Bull.
He was well-backed on debut at Cork and delivered in style. Always travelling easily he put the race to bed in a matter of moments and was value for more than the 2.5 length winning margin. He clocked a decent speed rating for a debutant and has plenty of upside compared to his rivals who are already starting to look exposed.
