Meydan Tips: Iver Bridge Lad

Last time out he ran well from a poor draw, over an inadequate five furlongs. Has conditions much more to his liking.

Iver Bridge Lad has an excellent opportunity to build on recent good runs and win the 3.45 Meydan.

He finished a close fourth behind Monsieur Joe but his performance can be marked up as he raced in a small group detached from the early action. A lack of cover saw him pull too hard and his run petered out after he made a big mid-race effort to join the main pack.

He steps up to six furlongs today which is more his trip. At the back-end of the 2011 season, he won a Group 3 race in France and around this time last year, he finished runner-up to J J The Jet Plane at Meydan. It proves he is a top class sprinter and in a weak looking race for the grade, he should take all the beating.
