Mercurial Temple Road
Ran a 21.64s closing sectional last time out, recording his 8th course win in the process. Still retains devastating turn of foot.
Temple Road is a stalwart of the all-weather scene; he is also highly frustrating but that is part of his charm. The 9-year-old has spent most of his time competing in class 5 handicaps and he isn’t getting any better but there is still part of me that thinks he could (can?) be a lot better.
Temple Road has run some awesome sectionals and was at it again eleven days ago. Off an even gallop he covered the final 2f in a rapid 21.64s, the fastest sectional in the race but 0.51s. He a horse with a tremendous turn off foot but is deployed somewhat sporadically. We might have missed the boat but this 8-time course winner is worth another go.
