Lingfield: Where's Mick

Beat all the horses that raced around him at Newcastle but chances ultimately compromised by high draw. Still a maiden but lightly raced and has ability.

Where’s Mick is still a maiden but this is only his ninth career start and he looks capable of winning a little race. Last time at Newcastle he was only beaten a length, but from a high draw he was forced to race against the nearside rail whilst the race developed down the centre. He beat everything around him and in a fair time for the grade; it was a good run from a bad draw.

The 3-year-old hasn’t fared much better this afternoon drawing stall 11 but that is less of a disadvantage at Lingfield, where they all take the same route.

Richard Fahey isn’t firing in the winners at the moment; 1-35 in last fortnight but he’s recording lots of seconds and thirds therefore i’m not as concerned about stable form as the headline figures would suggest.
