Lingfield Tip: Typhoon Ten
Clocked a 22.01s closing sectional two starts back when winning at Lingfield over 7f. Ran over shorter, earlier last year and has a progressive profile.
I love a fast closing sectional at Lingfield and we’ve got two in the 1.25 Lingfield. Lady Dancealot dipped below 22s when winning last time out, whilst two starts back Typhoon Ten clocked 22.01s in a winning effort over 7f.
Over the pair, it’s Typhoon Ten i’m siding with. Visually his was the more impressive and although his closing sectional was slightly slower in absolute terms, he had run a furlong farther up until that point. His adjusted speed rating is higher than that of Lady Dancealot and he is 5lbs lower in the weights.
The negative regards Typhoon Ten is his record at 6f. He’s not been sprinting since the summer but his record at the trip is 15229 and he has shown enough speed to suggest a drop in trip will be fine. In truth, he is unexposed at most distances but has shown enough ability to warrant a bet off a mark of 89.
