Lingfield Tip: Teruntum Star
Understandably lacked the pace for a sharp 5f on the all-weather and reverts to his optimum trip where he is 5/24. Has shown enough this winter to suggest he can win a nice race.
Considering Teruntum Star’s last win over the minimum trip came way back in 2014, you have to wonder why he’s been running over a sharp 5f on the all-weather; I also backed him for one of those starts so i’m not completely blameless in this folly!
Teruntum Star is 5/24 over 6f and now he’s back to his optimum trip he looks a big danger. He’s down to a mark of 95, which is workable and his run at this track two starts ago was full of promise. He closed with a decent 22.05s final sectional off a moderate gallop, to finish third in a class 2 handicap.
The big danger Gorgeous Noora, who ran a blisteringly fast closing sectional when slightly unlucky here six days ago but he back form isn’t nearly as impressive as that of Kevin Ryan’s horse and she is half the price.
