Lingfield Tip: Temeraire
Could get an easy lead from stall 2 and is difficult to pass when allowed to dominate. Has twice dipped below 22s for the final 2f at Lingfield when allowed to set steady gallop.
Temeraire’s form can be hard to grapple with, she finished second in a class 3 handicap at Lingfield but was beaten in a class 6 event at Wolverhampton when a short price favourite. So which version will turn up in the 3.50 Lingfield?
Much of this has to do with the pace of the race. The 4-year-old likes to lead and has enough of a finishing kick off a strong pace to make her hard to beat. In two runs at Lingfield she dipped below 22s for the final 2f on both occasions, thanks in large to a pedestrian early gallop.
If she is allowed to dominate, and that is possible from stall 2, she will be difficult to pass.
