Shyron can be a frustrating horse given his deep closing style but a strike-rate of 6/27 on the all-weather is impressive and he can leave some moderate efforts at Chelmsford behind on a more suitable track.
The 6-year-old has run some blisteringly fast sectionals at Lingfield including two sub-21.8s efforts last winter. They were both in-vain as he didn’t add to his 3 course wins but his record over 7f at the track reads: 1108221302723.
He is therefore hitting the frame more often than not and all those efforts came off a mark in the high 80s/low 90s. He’s never raced at Lingfield off a mark of 82 and he should make it count this winter.
