Lingfield Tip: Drop Kick Murphi
Second fastest closer (off a steady early gallop) when not beaten far over course and distance in early September. One of the more likely ones.
The 3.45 Lingfield is not a good race but Drop Kick Murphi won off the same mark on turf at Nottingham and he showed up well over course and distance in September. Finishing wide in the home-straight from stall 7, he clocked the second fastest closing sectional (0.05s slower than the winner) when closing off a steady gallop.
A more testing early gallop will suit his running style and this is his grade.
