Lingfield Tip: Compas Scoobie
Has acquitted himself well at the minimum trip since changed yards but previous all-weather win came over 6f and step-up in trip is in his favour.
Kasbah and Reckless Endeavour have been running fast sectionals in losing causes of late and having carried enough of my money to defeat they are swerved. Instead i’m taking a chance on Compas Scoobie on his return to 6f.
Since moving to Stuart Williams in December, Compas Scoobie has been campaigned at 5f. He’s run some good races at the minimum trip including when a close third to Udontdodou but his all-weather record over 5f is 5348 compared to 31 at 6f.
The step-up in trip makes sense on his back form and the way he’s been finishing his races, often with strong closing sectionals, he promises to be suited by the extra furlong.
