Lingfield: Talbot
Ran over a mile on last start for Brian Meehan but this horse is a sprinter and reverts to 6f for new connections. Is 1/1 on the all-weather and has shown promise on more than one occasion.
Talbot started the season well, finishing second behind Inver Park in a 6f sprint at Ascot but since then he’s been campaigned over further. His last race for Brian Meehan was over a mile at Newmarket and he ran well considering he was keen early and then stationed towards the far rail.
After that race he mover the Joseph O’Brien’s yard and connections have made the sensible decision to bring him back sprinting. His best performances have been at sprint distance and i’m pleased to see him return to Lingfield and the all-weather. He won on debut at the track in a fast time, highlighting him as a spring of potential. That has been unfulfilled since but the change of yard could be key.
