Lingfield: Strong Power
Has the beating of Tone The Barone and can turnaround the form with One Night Stand. Has won at this grade before and has done nothing wrong all winter.
Strong Power has enjoyed a tremendous winter and can cap it off with another win in the 3.50 Lingfield. Last week he finished behind One Night Stand but it was a peculiar weekend of racing at Lingfield. The track was riding on the quick side, with the pace holding up and I suspect there was a strong tail wind as numerous horses across the card clocked under-22s for the final 2f; this is extremely rare.
A pace-favouring track (and home straight) didn’t suit the closer Strong Power but he was only beaten 0.5 lengths and the winner got loose on the lead. He’s beaten Tone The Barone the last twice whilst Crimson Sand was slightly disappointing last weekend having backed him. This race is very winnable.
