Lingfield: Autumn Trail

Ran a big speed figure over course and distance in February and has dropped 5lbs since and is down in grade. Last run can be forgiven when keen and posted wide behind a steady pace.

Autumn Trail impressed the clock-watchers when recording a big speed figure over course and distance back in February. I gave her an adjusted speed rating of 73, marking her out as potentially a class 4/5 winner. Back at the Surrey venue she races off a mark of 65 and could be very well handicapped.

In fairness she’s not shown much since and that speed figure could be an anomaly. However, I’m ready to forgive her last run when she was too keen and then too wide in a steadily run contest. She is down in grade again but lightly raced enough to suggest there is a decent win in her.
