Lingfield: Apollinaris
Only beaten 7 horses in 4 career starts but shaped with promise at Chelmsford. Lacked tactical speed over minimum trip but third fastest closing sectional and could improve at 6f.
Apollinaris is having only his second start for Simon Dow and his fourth overall and although in his racing career to date he has only beaten 7 horses, there is room for optimism.
Last time out at Chelmsford he got caught by a lack of speed over 5f as the pace quickened but he finished strongly and was only beaten 3.5 lenghts in a reasonable time for the grade. He clocked the third fastest sectional and shaped like he would improve for a step up in trip.
A mark of 57 is very reasonable and he is a more attractive proposition than his price would suggest.
