King George VI Tip: Workforce

Quite simply the Derby and Arc winner has ideal conditions. A mile and a half with cut in the ground is perfect; the exact same conditions as when he triumphed at Longchamp. As for the opposition, they all have weaknesses.

St. Nicholas Abbey – Made hard work of beating Midday in the Coronation Cup, that isn’t strong enough form to win this race. He needs to step up his performance again.

Rewilding – Was 7.5 lenghts behind Workforce in the Derby. If both horses are at their best I can’t see how he can turn that form around.

Nathaniel – Taking on better, older horses. This year’s batch of three year-olds just aren’t good enough.

Debussy – Has completely lost the plot.
