King George Stakes Tip: Battaash
Set new course record at Sandown where nothing could match his early or late fractions.
Battaash set a new course at Sandown on his last start and although he was helped by the quick going you can’t fail but be impressed by the manner of his win.
Battaash was quickest to the 2 furlong marker and then quickest from there home. Nothing in the field could match his early or late split. It was a one horse race, running a time-trial and a quick one at that.
He now steps up in grade for King George Stakes at Goodwood but his profile is progressive, he’s got plenty of early speed to suggest the sharp track will be to his liking and he simply looks a very good sprinter.
