Kempton Tips: Dutiful Son
Had plenty of options to pick between and connections have gone for the easiest. Is 3/10 at this level.
Dutiful Son was entered in three races on Saturday and connections have sensibly opted for the weakest of the three, the 8.15 Kempton.
Dutiful Son returned from an 8 month break in November and after needing his first two runs back, showed his hand at Lingfield last Saturday.
His turn of foot was no match for Franco’s Secret but he was clear second best on the day, with an impressive 22.07s closing sectional. The early gallop was pedestrian but the final time was good under the circumstances and after adjusting for pace I gave him an adjusted speed rating of 85.
Now 5lbs below his last winning mark (of 85) the handicapper has given Dutiful Son a chance just as he’s regained his form. His record in class 4 all-weather handicaps is 1613331273 and with Jamie Spencer booked we can expect a big run.
