Kempton Tips: Bowerman
Fast closer in above average maiden on the clock. Hails from a good yard an Andrea Atzeni’s only ride of the evening.
Roger Varian started the turf season at Doncaster with a winner and two placed efforts from his three horses and although we are back on the all-weather, his string are running well.
Bowerman hasn’t been seen for 149-days since finishing second in a potentially above average maiden at Newcastle. It’s hard to rate the form because none of the top-4 have run since but the time of the race was good despite the steady early pace.
Bowerman was inconvenienced the most, having been held-up he looked green and then couldn’t find the gaps when asked to quicken. That probably cost him the race because he clocked the fastest closing sectional and earned a decent adjusted speed rating of 74.
Andrea Atzeni makes the trip down from Wolverhampton for just one ride and his journey should be worthwhile.
