Kempton Tip: Sweet Serenade
Denied a clear run on her last two starts but shaped as if capable of winning at this level. Fastest closer two starts back when recording a good time for the grade.
The 4.10 Kempton isn’t the strongest of races and Sweet Serenade looks a cut above the rest. Two starts ago she ran a good adjusted speed rating of 57, enough to win in this grade and it was all the more impressive because she had a bad start, blocked mid-race but still clocked the fastest closing sectional.
She ran well again at Chelmsford last time out, despite again not getting a clear run. This time she is well drawn in stall 2 and Kempton’s longer straight should give her jockey more time to get a clear run. First time visor could yield further improvement and she looks the one to beat.
