Kempton Tip: Polybius
Hasn't won for a while but running well and off an attractive looking mark. Went very close at Yarmouth last week when finishing strongly after a slow start.
Polybius hasn’t won in over three years but the handicapper has given him a chance and there have been plenty of good efforts from the 7-year-old last season. Last week he came within a neck of breaking his losing streak at Yarmouth and was slightly unlucky.
Slowly into stride he was left with too much ground to make up and was 6.2 lengths behind the leader with four furlongs to go. His rapid closing sectional was the fastest in the race but the line just came too early.
A previous course and distance winner (he is 1/1 at Kempton), off an attractive mark, he should go close again.
