Kempton Tip: Hot Summer
Lost by neck when unfancied on debut at Newmarket. Adjusted speed rating of 81 suggests he's already close to level shown by Riot. Likely more improvement to come after just one outing.
You’ve got to feel a bit sorry for Riot who has finished second three times in three starts with the margin of defeats reading: head, neck, neck. He’s been turned over at short prices each time and the same could happen again at Kempton.
Hot Summer went down by a neck on debut at Newmarket and the fact he went off at 25/1 suggests not much was expected, so perhaps there is more to come. He earned an adjusted speed rating of 81 and that is quite high for a debutant, certainly in the league of what Riot has been running.
If Hot Summer comes on for the run, and he should, he will prolong the pain for Riot.
