Kempton: Regional
At his best on all-weather/fast turf and unlucky when third in Steward's Cup. Has some big speed ratings to his name, including on an artificial surface. Should enjoy Kempton's long straight.
Some square pegs fitted into round holes for the 7.30 Kempton but conditions look optimal for Regional. He finished an excellent second (big speed rating) to Above at Chelmsford almost 12 months ago and since then has continued to run well without getting the breaks.
He could have won the Steward’s Cup but for a slow start and then Tabdeed cutting across him whilst trying to close. He was only beaten 1.5 lengths in what is always a strong race. Runner-up in the Dukhan Sprint in Qatar last winter, you’d expect that will be his target again and this acts and a good stepping stone.
